Vixel for AI agents Alpha

Your next film.
In the conversation you’re already having.

Bring Vixel into Codex, Claude Code or Cursor with the CLI and Skill. Shape your script, build your shots and review the film with your agent—and your Vixel studio close by.

A lone astronaut reflected in shallow water beneath a golden eclipse
One astronaut. A homecoming centuries too late. Original concept artwork to imagine a starting point.

Start with a scene

An idea worth staying with.

“An astronaut comes home centuries too late.” Start there. Ask for a script, find the character’s look, then decide which moments deserve a shot.

Four concept frames: an eclipse over water, the astronaut’s face, a stopwatch, and the astronaut walking toward the horizon
Illustrative visual direction. These images are concept art, not a recorded MCP generation run.
01 / Story

Talk through the idea.

Develop the script and plan a Work. Keep the character, setting and ending in view before moving to images.

Plan the shots →
02 / Image & video

Find the shot that feels right.

Create references, storyboard frames and clips. Review the quoted cost before generating, then inspect the result.

Keep your character recognizable →
03 / Review & edit

Bring the moments together.

Review your Work, arrange the Timeline and use the supported export tools. Come back to the browser studio whenever you want.

CLI + Skill

Codex, Claude Code or Cursor.
Your studio comes along.

Use a local task with terminal, file and network access. The standalone CLI handles the connection; the Skill gives your agent the Vixel workflow.

  1. 01

Give your agent the setup prompt.

Paste this into your agent’s task. It will guide you through setup and open the sign-in page.

Read https://cli.vixelai.com/vixelCLI-setup.md. Set up the Vixel CLI and Skill in this task for https://drama.vixelai.com. Keep this platform address. Open browser login, then check my connection and balance after I authorize access. Do not create a Work or generate media.

    Read the setup instructions ↗
  2. 02

    Make it your Vixel studio.

Your agent opens browser login. Sign in, then approve the requested access. Keep that task running while you authorize it; signing into the website alone doesn’t connect the agent.

  3. 03

Check the connection. Then bring the idea.

Start by checking the account, balance and existing Works. When you’re ready to create, ask for a script first and review the cost before any media generation.

Check my Vixel connection, show my credit balance, and list my existing Works. Do not create or generate anything yet.

Remote MCP

Already using an MCP client?

Add Vixel as a Streamable HTTP server in a client that supports browser OAuth and the required Film permissions. You’ll sign in through that client and refresh its tools after connecting.

Compatibility depends on your client. The connection guide includes the required permissions and troubleshooting steps.

A few things you might be wondering.

What is Vixel MCP?

MCP is a way for an AI client to call Vixel tools. Vixel’s remote server supports account access and film workflows, including scripts, images, video, review, Timeline and export operations. Your client must support remote MCP, browser OAuth and Vixel’s Film permissions. Availability is in Alpha.

Should I use the CLI or the MCP server?

For a local coding task in Codex, Claude Code or Cursor, start with the standalone CLI and Skill. Your agent needs terminal, file and network access. For a chat client that supports a custom remote MCP server, use the MCP connection guide. Pasting a server address into an ordinary chat does not connect its tools.

Do I need Node.js or an API key?

The standalone CLI includes its runtime, so you don’t need Node.js or a provider API key. Sign in with your Vixel account and approve access in the browser. The optional npm installation needs Node.js 22 or later. Local video export also needs FFmpeg and FFprobe.

Can I generate images and video from my agent?

Yes, with an authorized connection and the required generation permissions. Ask your agent to show the quote and set a credit limit before submitting media generation. Your existing Vixel balance is used. Connecting and checking the account do not generate media.

Where do my creations go?

Accepted materials for a Work stay with that Work in Vixel. Standalone creations appear in My Assets. You can return to the browser workspace to review them.

Can it publish to social accounts or measure views?

Social publishing, audience analytics and audio generation are not available through these Alpha tools. Review the current agent instructions for supported operations before planning a workflow around them.

One idea is enough to start
