On a golden evening picnic by the river, Papa counts to ten and Mimi hides in the tall grass, except her fluffy tail sticks straight up. Her little brother Pip spots it at once, but Papa pretends he can't see a thing and lets Mimi win. Later, when it is Pip's turn to hide, Mimi does exactly what Papa did. The look is a hand-painted picture book come to life.
