The creative approach

Every family loses socks in the laundry. Six-year-old Lily decides to find out why and discovers Fuzz, a tiny shy monster knitted from odd socks, who lives behind the washing machine and borrows socks because he gets cold at night. Lily gives him one of her own and asks him to ask next time. In the morning every sock in the basket is paired again.

Try it in your next film

Start from a small, familiar mystery and give it a gentle answer. Give viewers a detail to follow, like Lily's mismatched socks, so the ending pays off when one of them is missing for a good reason.
